Wellby Supports Texans’ Dreams of Higher Education

Wellby, Powered by JSC FCU, one of the largest credit unions in Houston, continues supporting Texans’ dreams of higher education through their partnership with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ scholarship program. This year’s donation of $40,000 equals two $20,000 scholarships for local community students.

Wellby, Powered by JSC FCU, has been rooted in Greater Houston for more than six decades. Originally created to support the brave men and women who put the first man on the moon, they have always believed in supporting the ambitions of their community.

“At Wellby, we strive to remove barriers and help create pathways to turn dreams into reality,” stated Marty Pell, President and CEO of Wellby, Powered by JSC FCU. “This year’s donation not only helps two young dreamers in our own community, but it supports an important Houston institution and one of the largest scholarship providers in the United States. We believe that investing in education today can help build a brighter tomorrow.”

2022 marks the 90th anniversary of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™, and this year, they plan on awarding more than 800 scholarships. Since 1957, the Rodeo scholarship program has awarded more than 20,000 scholarships worth more than $260 million.
