Wellby Financial recently donated a combined $26,000 to Bay Area Turning Point and Bay Area Habitat for Humanity to support joint efforts of providing safe homes and environments for individuals in the Bay Area community.
Bay Area Turning Point and Bay Area Habitat for Humanity strive to support those in need in the Bay Area community. Whether impacted by assault, family violence, financial hardship, or a housing crisis, these nonprofit organizations are ready to help. Wellby is committed to supporting organizations like these that help our neighbors build a path from crisis to prosperity.
“It is our privilege to serve our communities and help people prosper,” stated Marty Pell, President & CEO of Wellby Financial. “Everyone should have a safe place to call home. We hope our donations will advance the mission of these two critical organizations and help make a difference for those in need in our community.”
Bay Area Turning Point is a nonprofit organization providing services to individuals impacted by family violence and sexual assault. They explain the heart of their mission is providing "prevention and awareness services to end sexual and domestic violence in the community." Members of Wellby Financial leadership met with Bay Area Turning Point Executive Director Brenda Sykes and Operations Director Sybil Winters-Little to present their donation and discuss how Wellby Financial can continue to support their important mission. Wellby is launching a new initiative to provide financial literacy education, tools, and resources to help Bay Area Turning Point clients begin the next chapter of their journey with the right tools for success as they build their own path toward financial prosperity.
Also dedicated to making an impact in the community, Bay Area Habitat for Humanity defines its mission as "the only nonprofit home builder in the Galveston, Southeast Harris, and Northern Brazoria County area, partnering with families to build quality, safe, affordable, and energy-efficient homes with zero percent interest mortgages." Wellby Financial leadership met with Bay Area Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Philip Golden, Board President Greg Goodman, Construction Project Manager Aslan Albarazi, and Marketing & Development Coordinator Cassidy Huynh (not pictured) to present their donation and discuss their shared mission of supporting homeownership in the Bay Area community.
