Wellby Financial Celebrates Members and CCISD Community at Galaxy Lights

In honor of 60 years of service to the Clear Lake and space community, Wellby Financial recently hosted a holiday member appreciation event at Space Center Houston’s Galaxy Lights, presented by Reliant, on Friday, December 16. In partnership with Space Center Houston, Wellby provided members the opportunity to purchase sharply discounted tickets to the event or win a pair of tickets through a social media challenge! 

Attendees explored the most interactive and technologically advanced light display in Texas before stopping by the Wellby Lounge for snacks, games and activities, giveaways and raffle prizes, and even selfies with Santa! ​ 

Earlier this month, Wellby also hosted three CCISD nights celebrating students, families, and staff at Space Center Houston’s Galaxy Lights on December 1, 9, and 15. These CCISD Nights included special activities for CCISD students, families, and staff; giveaways; and fun prizes! 

Wellby’s longtime partnership with Space Center Houston allowed CCISD families the opportunity to purchase deeply discounted tickets to any one of these special events. Wellby even sponsored an entire CCISD elementary school’s attendance of 750 students! As a proud supporter of CCISD, Wellby was honored to provide this opportunity for families to gather and enjoy a fun night celebrating imagination and innovation. 

Fueled by their purpose of helping people prosper, Wellby also created community acts of kindness during their celebratory events. Wellby members and team members were invited to bring canned food items to donate to the Houston Food Bank. In total, they donated more than 250 cans of food to support our neighbors during these difficult economic times. ​ 

Wellby also hosted grocery store gift card giveaways to help with food security during these times of high inflation, fulfilled a few CCISD teachers’ mid-year school supply lists to help provide resources for our children’s education, surprised some CCISD teachers with breakfast to support our community heroes, and donated funds toward CCISD families’ electricity bills to lighten their financial burden and support their financial well-being. ​ 

Originally founded to serve the employees and families of NASA’s Johnson Space Center, Wellby’s unique legacy, deeply rooted in the space community and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education, is at the foundation of who Wellby is and how they serve the community.
